Notes: This lighthouse was offered to a qualified new owner under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000, but there were no applicants and the lighthouse was sold for $31,000 through an auction in October 2005 to Robert Gonsoulin of Williamsburg, VA. Current Use: Active aid to navigation. Open To Public? No. Directions: Accessible by boat only. The lighthouse can be seen from Route I-664 as it crosses the James River and Hampton Roads between Newport News and Portsmouth.
