Notes: Sitting high atop the former H. W. Wilson Building the 30 foot tall copper lighthouse was installed in 1929 resting on a base that resembles a book. The H.W. Wilson Co dates back to 1889. Mr. Wilson died in 1954 but the company continued. In 1989 the company celebrated its 100th birthday with a lighting ceremony of floodlights to light up the beacon. In 2011 the company merged with EBSCO and employee operations were moved to Massachusetts. In late 2012 the building was purchased by Nick Sprayregen, CEO, of Tuck-It-Away; a storage company. The new owner then painted the lighthouse dark orange tones to reflect the Tuck-It-Away company color schemes. Tower Height: 30 Description of Tower: Conical copper tower.
