Notes: This station was first established in 1879 as a fog signal station only. Tower Height: 39 Height of Focal Plane: 56 Characteristic and Range: Fixed white light, visible for 16 nautical miles. Description of Tower: White, octagonal wooden tower with a red lantern.

Date Established: 1879 Date Present Tower Built: 1903 Date Deactivated: 1999 Fog Signal: One 3-second blast every 30 seconds. Current Use: Museum. Open To Public? Yes. Museum? The keeper's house has been turned into an interpretive center/museum and displays a wide variety of items from the area, including history of the light station. Open June 15 to Labour Day 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (subject to change -- call ahead to check on hours)
Directions: From St. George on Highway 1, take Highway 772 and follow directions for the Deer Isle ferry. Just before reaching the ferry, watch for a sign on the left pointing to Greens Point.
