Notes: From 1853 to 1904, this lighthouse served as a rear range light; a front range beacon was added about 265 feet north of the lighthouse. The front light was destroyed by fire in 1910. The tower was removed from this lighthouse and the building was used by the Lighthouse Service and Coast Guard until 1975. It was acquired by the Cedar Point Amusement Park around 1990. Directions: You may visit the grounds of this lighthouse for a small fee; tell the admissions parking attendant that you want to see the lighthouse and they will direct you to the light. You may stay 30 minutes for the fee.
