Notes:
This is the southernmost lighthouse in Scotland. The land near the lighthouse is a bird sanctuary. From the 250-foot cliffs there are views of the Isle of Man and Ireland's Antrim Hills.

Characteristic and Range: Flashing white every 20 seconds, visible for 28 nautical miles.

Museum?
The Northern Lighthouse Board has leased a building that once housed the workmen who built the lighthouse to the South Rhins Community Development Trust. It is run by volunteers as a visitor center, and is open April to October, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
