The Lighthouse Depot Tour also had the privilege of visiting the famous Robben Island Lighthouse. The lighthouse is on the same island as the prison that housed Nelson Mandella for so many years. As we are all aware, he later went on to become President of South Africa. Robben Island is also the site of the first navigational aid in South Africa in 1656.
