The Chatham Lighthouse twin towers as they appeared in 1907 when James Thurston Allison became the keeper of the lighthouse. If you look closely, you will notice that the shades are closed in the lanterns of both towers to protect the Fresnel lenses from the sun’s harmful rays. Back to the edition of: May/Jun 2023
