The fortress of San Juan de Ulúa (also spelled Ullúa) was built in the 16th century on an island in Veracruz Harbor.

Characteristic and Range: White flash every 45 seconds, visible for 15 miles (1879).

Description of Tower: White round tower on the west part of the fortress of San Juan de Ulúa.
