Notes:
This main light formed a range with Bogue Banks Beacon. Both structures were destroyed during the Civil War.

Height of Focal Plane: 50

Characteristic and Range: Fixed white; range 13 miles

Description of Tower: Brick structure.

This light is not operational

Date Established: 1855

Date Present Tower Built: 1862

Optics: 1855: Fourth order Fresnel lens.

Current Use: Destroyed.
