Notes: This lighthouse was modeled after Florida's reef lights.  Since the keepers were removed, the tower has been neglected and has fallen into disrepair.  It has also developed a list to one side.  There is now discussion of dismantling the tower and moving it to the town of Berwick.  Tower Height: 125  Height of Focal Plane: 117  Description of Tower: Octagonal, pyramidal cast iron skeleton tower on screw pile foundation.  Listed on the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List of endangered lighthouses.
