After the light was automated in 1969, local preservationists organized to preserve the station. The station is now operated as a bed and breakfast inn and the proceeds help maintain the property. Leased by U.S. Coast Guard to East Brother Light Station, Inc. Tower Height: 48 Height of Focal Plane: 61 Characteristic and Range: White flash every 5 seconds. Description of Tower: Square wood tower attached to keeper's house; buff colored.
