This lighthouse has been rebuilt and moved several times. The present structure was discontinued on July 1, 2004.

Description of Tower: White, square, skeleton tower, pyramidal at the bottom, with two red and white rectangular daymarks.

1873: 98-foot white octagonal wooden tower. 1888: 97-foot white octagonal concrete tower with buttresses. 1917: 107-foot square pyramidal skeletal tower. 1951: Square skeleton tower with red and white horizontal daymark , focal plane 90 feet.
