This lighthouse was built by the Works Progress Administration, but it was never actually used as an aid to navigation. The structure was restored by Winnebago County Parks in the spring of 2007.

Current Use: Attraction in park.

The entrance to the park is at the intersection of Snell and Sherman Roads.
