Phyllis Beer writes: "In 1954-55 I used to play on this beach as we lived in cottage #3 that was within yards/meters of this lighthouse. I was about ten years old. The lighthouse had a large red diamond on the side and still had the walkway to the door. I used to walk around the base of the lighthouse even if the tide was nearly up to the top of the base. Thanks for the memories." Height of Focal Plane: 36 Characteristic and Range: Fixed red. Description of Tower: White, square pyramidal tower with red lantern and red stripe.

Near Victoria Park in Charlottetown, look for Queen Elizabeth Drive and Brighton Road, and find the lane which goes to the shore opposite York Lane.
