Erosion necessitated the moving of this lighthouse in 1998. A dwelling previously attached to the lighthouse has been removed.

Height of Focal Plane: 72

Characteristic and Range: Fl White 5 s, visible for 12 nautical miles.

Description of Tower: White, square pyramidal wooden tower with red trim and red lantern.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.

Directions:
The lighthouse is on Cape Egmont Point, off Route 11. Turn at a curve in the road where the paved road goes to Fishing Cove Harbour, then follow the gravel road through the woods to the lighthouse.
