The 163-year-old Swallowtail Lighthouse on Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, Canada is finally getting the repairs that it so desperately needed.
Proving that lighthouse preservation doesn’t come easy, Kenneth Ingersoll of the Swallowtail Keepers Society has been the driving force behind the 16-year effort to restore and save the lighthouse that overlooks the Bay of Fundy.
