Old photographs keep coming our way. This old photo was found in the collection of a Maine lighthouse keeper who served at Libby Island, Goose Rocks and Boon Island lighthouses. The man in the photograph is identified as Jones T. Holmes. Whether or not Jones T. Holmes was another lighthouse keeper at one of those stations, a member of a life saving station, crewman of a lighthouse tender, or a friend of the lighthouse keeper in not known. He is not in a uniform of any kind, although he is wearing a hat that was popular at the time with the Lighthouse Service, crewmen on ships etc. If anyone has any clues we'd love to hear from our readers. E-mail us at editor@LighthouseDigest.com or by mail to P.O. Box 250, East Machias, ME 04630.
