The preservation project at Minnesota's Split Rock Lighthouse on Lake Superior continues to move forward, even after some minor setbacks from high winds and a late spring snowstorm The painters have completed repainting the interior and exterior of the lantern room of the lighthouse. The restoration project includes seven of the ten buildings at the lighthouse station and includes replacing 27 curved window panes and repairs on the fog signal building and masonry repairs to three brick keeper's homes.
