Absecon looks for help

Comments?

Through the generosity of many public and private benefactors the Absecon Lighthouse in Atlantic City will finally have its much needed facelift. But more is needed to fully complete the restoration of the historic landmark. Volunteers are needed to serve as "lightkeepers" offering tours and staffing the gift shop.

Artifacts relating to the history of the lighthouse are needed to display in the museum. Finally, funding is still needed to complete the restoration of the lighthouse and install educational exhibits in the new museum at the lightkeepers house.

If any of our readers know the whereabouts of any artifacts relating to Absecon Lighthouse, or you are interested in volunteering your time and talents they would love to hear from you. And of course if you would like to make a donation, that would also be appreciated. Contact IPPA, 300 Atlantic Ave, Suite 102, Atlantic City, NJ 08401 or call them at 609-449-1360.
