Point Cabrillo Lighthouse Shines Again

The Fresnel lens that flashes from the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse on the Mendocino Coast of California was restored to service in late 2023. A gear in the aging motor failed in December 2022, halting the white flash every 10 seconds to shine from the lantern.
