Keeper Levi Blake Clark (r) is shown with his son, Lyman James Clark, who was featured in the newspaper article as a child in 1904 and later joined the U.S. Lighthouse Service. Levi served for 36 years total at four lighthouses and a depot. He began at Boston Harbor Light in 1902, transferring to Minot’s Ledge Light in 1905 for five years, then returning back to Boston Harbor for a year in 1910. In 1911, he went to Cuttyhunk Light for six years, followed by a longer stint at Hospital Point Range Rear Light in 1917 for the next 11 years. In 1928, he was put in charge of the Woods Hole Depot until his retirement in 1938 from the Service. (Courtesy of John Cherniga)
