Milton Harvey Reamy was the longest-serving keeper at Minot’s Ledge Light with an incredible 28 years of duty spent there. Before coming to Minot’s, he was at Duxbury Pier Light from 1878 – 1881 and then served at Plymouth (Gurnet) Light for four years after transferring from Minot’s Ledge in 1915 to finish up his career. He truly deserved being stationed on land at that point after being in offshore towers for 31 of his total 35 years in the U.S. Lighthouse Service. (Courtesy of Marti Dahl)
