At Brazos River Lighthouse In 1967, the federal government deeded the land and the lighthouse to Dow Chemical so it could expand its docking area for large ships. The Brazos River Lighthouse, shown here, was subsequently demolished and its 3rd order lens and lantern room were given to the Brazoria County Historical Museum.
