In this 1970s photo, the old ways are clearly seen running up to the boathouse. “Sinkers” used to weight the buoys down are lining the dock to the right. The boathouse is still used today at ANT Astoria to house Coast Guard watercraft, in addition to a wood shop and administrative offices.
