Pictured are John R. Brakey and his first wife, Martha Mattie Wakefield, circa 1901. Brakey was born on December 4, 1870 and died at the age of 95 on March 13, 1966. He lived his entire life in Ventura, California and joined his father in the family house-moving business when he was 17-years-old.
