This image of the only keepers’ house at Cape Blanco in 1901 shows members of both the Langlois and Hughes families. James S. Hughes is on the far left with James S. Langlois to the right of him. With the Langlois’ having five children and the Hughes’ having two, requests were made for a second keeper’s dwelling, but it took ten years of asking before it was completed in 1910.
